Congress victory a tribute to Palvai Govardhan: Uttam

Chandur (Nalgonda): TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy felt that Congress victory in the coming elections will be a tribute to former MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy.

On the occasion of Palvai first death anniversary, TPCC President along with Rajya Sabha member Vayalar Ravi and CLP Jana Reddy, Reddy unveiled the statue of late Palvai Govardhan Reddy in Chandur on Saturday.

Later addressing a huge gathering in the High School premises, Uttam Kumar Reddy said Congress has a strong base in Munugodu Assembly constituency and advised the leaders and workers to work collectively to win Munugodu seat with thumping majority. Party will extend its cooperation in all aspects to late Palvai Govardhan Reddy’s family, he underlined.

He demanded the government to announce the promised Gattuppal mandal immediately to fulfill people’s aspirations, otherwise Congress will complete the assignment after coming to power in the State in 2019.

Expressing concern over the injustice done to Rachakonda poor farmers in not issuing pattadar passbooks, he assured the farmers that their party will do justice to them. The TRS government has been encouraging unethical party changing   from sarpanches to MLAs since day one of coming to power, he criticized Uttam Kumar expressed his concern over the injustice being done to all sections of the society after the formation of separate State. 

He listed out the pending poll promises of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and government failures during the last four years. He also listed out a few promises, which Congress will implement after coming to power in the State in 2019 in the interest of oppressed sections.

CLP leader Jana Reddy in his speech described Palvai Goverdhan Reddy as affectionate and straight forward natured gentle man. He urged the party leaders and workers to follow his ideology and bring back the lost glory to the party in Munugodu constituency. 

The sudden demise of Palvai is a great loss to Telangana and Congress, who worked hard for the development of Munugodu constituency throughout his life.
