Damaged roads dog tribal’s lives

Gundala (Kothagudem): Telanagana State has been developing by leaps and bounds, but in the tribal areas the people are still strugging every day to acces basic facilities in time of emergency.

For instance, a pregnant woman faced severe problem due to bad roads in her village.  She had to swimm across the overflowing stream despite having labor pain to reach the hospital.  The incident occurred  in Sayanapalli village of  Gundala mandal.

On Wednesday,  the pregnant woman called for ambulance for shifting  her to hospital. But the ambulance (108 service) was stopped due to the overflowing stream.  The pregnant woman along with her parents, had to swim through the stream.  

The incident shows how the villagers and tribals people have been facing the problems due to absence of good roads and bridges to reach the mandal headquarters.  

Even in a little rain, the stream overflow what will happen when heavy rains lash the Agency area? They appealed to the government to construct a bridge for the easy transportation from the villages.
