Issue new pattadar passbooks: CMO Secretary

Karimnagar: Issue new pattadar passbooks to farmers after reprinting them under land updation works, taken up by the State government, ordered Smita Sabharwal, Chief Minister’s Office Secretary.

She held a review meeting with District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed, Joint Collector, rural development officers and tahsildars to discuss about the distribution of pattadar passbooks, at the Collectorate conference hall in Karimnagar on Tuesday.

During the meeting, she suggested Tahsildars to complete the process of digital signatures. Stating that there are 2,29,662 accounts for farmers in the district, out of which, 2,072 accounts were linked with Aadhaar and 2,207 accounts were merged recently.

Data corrections has to be done for about 9,835 accounts. After making necessary corrections in the accounts, new passbooks must be printed, she told the officials. She also told them to handover new pattadar passbooks to those farmers, who migrated to other villages, by sending information to them.

Smita said that tahsildars should take this seriously and should inform the Collector if there are any issues. If there is any problem with computer updation, they must inform that during video-conference, which will be held on June 14.

She ordered revenue officials to rectify mistakes such as photos, Aadhaar numbers, survey number etc and issue new pattadar passbooks after reprinting.

District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed, joint collector Bhadri Srinivas, district revenue officer Ayesha Masrath Khanam, rural development officer Huzurabad Chennaiah, MEPMA project director Pavan and tahsildars have attended the review meeting.
