Mohammed Azam nominated as national convener for National Green Brigade
Karimnagar: Environmental activist and founder-president of Dharthi Bachao, a non-gazetted organisation, Mohammed Azam of Karimnagar district was nominated as the convenor for National Green Brigade (NGB). Mohammad Azam is an English lecturer by profession but his passion and interest and his concern for nature driven him to form Dharti Bachao voluntary organisation.
Since then, he has been striving hard for protecting and conserving environment through various programmes. Dr Javid Jamadar, the founder-president of National Green Brigade, nominated Azam as the convenor at a programme in Maharashtra State.
Speaking on the occasion, Javid Jamadar said the National Green Brigade is a platform, constituted with members from various voluntary organisations, youth organisations and environment lovers and activists, along with National Award recipients.
The main of the members of National Green Brigade is to conserve environment and to protect it. The members will plant saplings to increase green cover of the planet earth along with giving proper protection to the planted saplings.
Appreciating the efforts of Mohammad Azam, the founder-president of Dharthi Bachao organsiation, Javid Jamadar said that Mohammad Azam is striving hard for protecting the environment by taking up various programmes and creating awareness among the people along with giving wide publicity of the consequences that would be faced if the environment is not conserved.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammed Azam thanked for nominating him as the convenor for National Green Brigade and assured that he would put extra efforts with more responsibility for saving planet earth with his programmes like cycle yatras, posters, preparing of earthen Ganesh idols, conducting several competitions for students through creating awareness to them.
