Hanamkonda: Telugu Desam Politburo member Revuri Prakash Reddy has said that due to the inefficiency of the government, employment generation has taken a dent in the State. Speaking to the media persons here on Thursday, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao totally failed in generating employment opportunities in the State.

“It’s been four years since the TRS government took over the reins of the new State, however, there are no signs of new industries. Moreover, the government failed to revive the sick industries such as Sirpur Paper Mills and Nizam Sugar Mills,” Reddy said. Around 30,000 small-scale industries have been shut down due to the failure of the TRS government, he added.

KCR, who said Bayyaram Ukku – Telangana Prajala Hakku is now blaming the Central government, he said. KCR also said that if the Centre fails to set up steel plant at Bayyaram, the State government will take it up, he recalled.

The TRS government, which is more focused on Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP), has forgotten about the other pending projects, Reddy criticised. “To cover up his failures, KCR is trying to highlight the Rythu Bandhu Scheme, Mission Bhagiratha and other programmes through paid articles in newspapers,” he alleged.

Prakash Reddy demanded the government to focus on establishing steel plant at Bayyaram, besides reviving sick industries by providing assistance to them.

Senior leaders Gattu Prasad Babu, Pulluri Ashok Kumar, Chada Raghunatha Reddy, Tallapalli Jaipal, Jatoth Santhosh Naik, Md Raheem, Hanmakonda Sambaiah, Gollapally Eshwarachary, Ganta Devender Reddy, Margam Sarangam, V Srinivas, M Manohar, Kinnera Sudhakar, K Jayashankar, A Sairam, H Suresh and Anil were among others present.
