Congress leader slams KCR for not providing Muslim quota
Warangal: Members of the Muslim community should put pressure on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government to deliver the promise of 12 per cent reservations, suggested city Congress working president Rajanala Srihari.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who assured the community 12 per cent reservations, had failed to take measures in that direction, he said and added that the Chief Minister had also failed to ensure welfare of Muslim women.
Srihari distributed sarees to poor Muslim women at a programme at Kondurivariveedhi in Warangal on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he said the Congress would stage protests on behalf of Muslims to see that reservations promised by the State government extended to them. Party leaders M Krishna Goud, P Narender, Rahat Parveen, Jameel and others were present.
