Cordon and search operations conducted in Achampet mandal
Nagarkurnool: The Nagarkurnool district police conducted cordon and search operations in Achampet mandal on Friday and took two persons into custody for questioning.
The cordon and search operation was led by Nagarkurnool District Superintendent of Police Sunpreet Singh. A total of 160 police personal were drafted for the purpose.
The police were divided into different teams and cordoned all the roads leading to Tangapur and Mahendranagar colonies in Achampet and conducted house-to-house serached and verified the details of each and every individuals residing in the colonies.
As part of the search operations, the police found 48 bikes with no proper documents and seized them. In addition to this, police also found two auto-rickshaws and three four-wheeler vehicles with no proper documents. They were also seized for further verification.
The police took into custody two persons who failed to from Tangapur and Mahendranagar colonies as they failed to provide any identity. “We are keeping tabs on anti-social elements and monitoring their movements from time to time.
It is very important for the colony dwellers and residents to install CCTV cameras, so that it will be easy for the police to track down culprits in case of any criminal offense,” said the SP.
