ICC to be ready by February
Mahabubabad: District Collector Ch Shivalingaiah has directed the officials of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department to complete the new Collectorate works by the next February end.
He, along with Joint Collector K Damodar Reddy, visited the construction site of Integrated Collectorate Complex (ICC) at Salar Thanda on the outskirts of the town on Friday and inspected the works.
The construction is being carried out by KVM Constructions under the guidance of R&B department. Speaking to the officials, he suggested expediting the works to ensure that construction completed as per schedule. With an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore, the collectorate complex is being built on 20.31 acres of land.
Shivalingaiah also directed the officials to construct warehouses in another one acre for stocking electronic voting machines (EVMs). Later the day, he also inspected the ongoing works of the Superintendent of Police’s office on the outskirts of the town.
He expressed anger over the slow pace of works and told the contracting agency to speed up the works of the SP office which is being constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore.
