Opposition parties to launch campaign together against TRS govt

Barring BJP and CPM, almost all the major Opposition parties are Telangana are planning to launch a campaign together against the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao-led TRS government.

According to the sources, TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy and Telangana Jana Samithi Chief Prof Kodandaram are facing pressure from various quarters to unite the Opposition parties for a common agenda ahead of the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Reports suggest that Congress, TJS, Telugu Desam and CPI, are likely to kick-start agitations against the TRS government over issues including failure of the KCR government on fee reimbursement, KG to PG free education, 2-BHK scheme, rising prices of fuel and filling up one lakh vacancies in government sectors among the many.

TJS leader Venkat Reddy, speaking in this regard didn’t rule out the possibility of the Opposition parties uniting together to work on common issues, but added that a final decision is to be taken by TJS.

Meanwhile, AICC secretary and former MP V Hanumantha Rao shared that he plans to persuade TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy and Kodandaram, CPI and TDP leadership for the cause.
