Sakshar Baharat Mission coordinators demand hike in honorarium
Khammam: District President of the Sakshar Bharat Mission Coordinators Union Ch Ramesh here on Friday demanded that the government hike their honorarium apart from providing job security.
The representatives of the Khammam and Bhadradri- Kothagudem districts units of Sakshar Bharat Mission staged a relay hunger strike, demanding hike their honorarium. Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh alleged that the mandal and village coordinators of Sakshar Bharath were paid meagre wages
He demanded that the government continue the Sakshar Bharat Mission under State government along with implementing the equal work equal wages for the coordinators. He also demanded that the government transform the shiksha centres into mini libraries along with merging the open schools with the Adult Education Department by continuing the Sakshar Bharat Coordinators.
Kamepalli mandal ZPTC Mekala Mallibabu Yadav, while extending his support to the relay hunger strike of Sakhsar Bharat Coordinators, assured them that he would take the issue to the notice of government. Later, the representatives of the union submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Director of Adult Education Department G Dhanraju.
Union representatives K Anji Reddy, B Veeraiah, Ch Anjali, S Venkateshwarlu, Ch. Rajendra Prasad, N Chennaiah, Krishna Veni, B Hirani, B Devi, Vijay, G Swaroop, V Kamala, Sunith, S K Khaja, A Shiva, B Sukku, Krishna and Madhu were present along with others.
