Devotees rush at Bhadradri

Bhadrachalam: As many as 18 couples have participated in Nithya Kalyanam in the premises of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam here on Sunday, said Executive Officer K Prabhakar Srinivas. During the continuous holidays on Saturday and Sunday, about 6,000 devotees visited the shrine and performed various pujas in the temple, he added. And 228 couples participated in Nitya Kalyanam during these days.

The temple authorities made all arrangments for a hassle-free darshan of Lord Rama. Due to heavy rush, separate queue lines were set up and buttermilk and water were distributed to the devotees. Apart from daily rituals and pujas, priests performed special abhishekam and suvarna pushpa seva to the main idols on Sunday, the EO said.
