Glowing tributes paid to Prof Jayashanakar
Nalgonda: Seventh death anniversary of Telangana ideologue Prof Jayashankar was observed in the erstwhile Nalgonda district on Thursday. Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy took part in the programme in Nalgonda and paid floral tributes to the statue of Prof Jayashankar at the Municipal park.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was following in the footsteps of Prof Jayashankar and striving to achieve Bangaru Telangana. The State had made rapid strides during the last four years, he said. He recalled Prof Jayashnakar’s contribution for the separate Telangana statehood movement and paid glowing tributes to him.
TSFDC Chairman Banda Narender Reddy said Prof Jayashankar was instrumental in keeping alive the separate Telangana movement for six decades. District Library chairman Rekala Badradri, Market Committee Chairman Karim Pasha, Bar council president G Venkateshwarlu, TRS Assembly constituency in-charge Bhupal Reddy, party leaders B Sudhakar, Abbagoni Ramesh, Abhimanyu Srinivas, Punna Ganesh, Telangana Jagruthi leaders Bhongir Devender, Jawaharlal , Venkat Yadav and a large number of party workers participated in the programme.
