Yoga improves immune system: Doctors

Mahbubnagar: Stressing that Yoga is the best medicine for preventive various diseases, medical fraternity of various departments in SVS Medical College took part in the 4th International Yoga Day on Thursday. 

Speaking on the occasion, resident director of SVS Medical College K. Ram Reddy said that performing Yoga for one hour every day can keep a person healthy as it is proven that physical activity and various body stretching activities will boost the human immunity and help the human body to gain resistance power to fight disease causing bacteria.

“Physical exercise and different stretching Yoga postures will activate the various systems in our body and keep our blood pressure to normal. It will also put a check on our sugar levels and help increase our brain activity. Yoga is in fact the true preventive healthcare initiative where every individual needs to adopt to keep himself away from bodily ailments,” said the resident director.

On the occasion of Yoga day celebrations, more than 200 medical students including medical fraternity of SVS Medical College participated in the programme. The participants took part in the Yoga asanas under the guidance of prominent Yoga experts Niranjan Rao and Jhansi Rani. Damodar, physical dircotr of SVS Medical College along with others participated in the programme.
