Hyderabad: Calling the opposition parties ‘Nadaan Dushman’ (innocent rival), Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has dared them to be ready for the elections within next two to three months. The Chief Minister said that the TRS is poised to win over 100 seats with huge margin as per his latest survey. The Chief Minister was addressing a gathering in Telangana Bhavan where former minister and Congress leader D Nagender joined the TRS on Sunday.

He said that Nagender was not joining TRS for any position and that he would have to strive to strengthen the party. “Joining TRS is not ‘Dawat’... he has to strive hard for the growth of the party. He has good future and there will be good opportunities as he has been among the people for the last ten years. We will take all those who wants to come to work... more and more should join the party. For other parties it is politics but for TRS it is a ‘yagna’,” said KCR.

There are many leaders who would be joining the party soon, he added. Chandrasekhar Rao mocked at the opposition parties stating that they were very innocent, implying that they were no match to him. “Our leaders are becoming careless because of these innocent rivals.

Had the opposition been strong... they would have been more alert,” he said. When the government expressed its readiness for a debate on irrigation projects, TPCC leader (N Uttam Kumar Reddy) had said his party had not come prepared. This is their state of preparedness, he said. Stating that he would disclose the findings of a survey done by the party in a few days, Rao challenged the opposition party leaders to face elections.

“If the opposition wants to test the waters they can come. Let us go to elections in two to three months. TRS will win more than 100 seats and the margins will be 50,000 to 70,000 in each constituency,” he said. The Chief Minister said that schemes brought by the TRS government were directly reaching the people. “People are enjoying each and every scheme brought forth by the government.

There used to be power cuts in the past but now if power is off, then it is news. The business of generators and transformers is down. These companies have gone bankrupt. The Congress is also going to be bankrupt,” he said, adding that schemes, including Kalyana Lakshmi, residential schools for BCs and minorities have come to be a great help to the needy.

The Chief Minister said that the Telangana state was number one in the country in many aspects, including the EODB (ease of doing business), solar power production, drinking water to every household. All these are possible only if the rulers work with commitment and honesty. “The Congress leaders say their duty is to remove KCR. Instead they should tell what they are going to do for people.

During every election they said TRS’s downfall will start but people are blessing TRS leaders with huge majority even in the places where there was no sentiment,” the Chief Minister said. “People would not want to lose a leader who works for them,” he said and pointed out that the Chief Ministers of Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh were performing well and ruling the state for the last three terms. “If people are impressed, they would be carrying the leaders on their heads,” he added.

The Chief Minister, in a poke to his counterpart in the neighbouring state, wanted to know Andhra rulers were not able to do well as Telangana was doing. “They had thought TRS was small, without experience and will commit mistakes. If they were so knowledgeable why can’t they emulate Telangana,” he asked.
