Monuments in Warangal leave tourist guides in awe
Warangal: It was a fun-packed day for 30-odd tourist guides, who visited Warangal Fort, Bhadrakali and 1000 Pillars temple on Monday. The tourist guides belonging to north, east and western regions, who were scheduled to attend Tourist Guide Federation of India (TGFI)’s conferencein Hyderabad on June 26, have been to Warangal to visit the historical sites of the region.
Warangal Tourism Promotion Officer and Telangana Tourist Guides Association member Kusuma Surya Kiran, who guided his counterparts from other parts of the country, said: “The guides, who visited the fort and other temples, are a surprised lot.
They were floored by the architectural elegance of the temples.” The visit of these guides will help promote the Warangal tourism in other parts of the country, he added. Akhilesh Kumar Nidhi of Varanasi said that they were surprised by the architectural elegance of the Kakatiya period.
