Absence of regular directors troubles SCCL staff

Kothagudem:  Singareni Collieries Company Limited workers have been facing problems due to no regular directors of the deaparments of Personal and Finance for almost 4 years. 

The company had not fill the post after the transfer the Director (Personal) Vijay Kumar in the year 2014. During that four years, the company appointed only additional incharges on that post with the remaining directors in the company. 

The Director (Personal) plays the main role in the company.  The Director(Personal) takes care of the employees’ services, personal and welfare sections and conducts the grievance programmes in the company.  In fact, it is the key post in the company after the Chairman and Managing Director for the smooth administration of the company.  

The company had five directors for doing all activities across the Singareni Collieries Company Limited. The posts of Director (Operations), Director (Project and Planning) , and Director (Electrical and Mechanical) were filled with the experienced officers by the company management. 

On the another hand, another two main posts in the company Director (Finance) and Director ( Personal) were filled with the other department employees by the management. 

In the last four years, the government appointed Finance Director to the Company with the IRS officer Pavithran Kumar.  Later, the company gave him  additional charge as a director (Personal)  in the company. 

Actually, the Director of Finance had more work in the company in financial matters. He has  been holding two posts during the last four years, but he could not satisfy the employees in the Personal department, said the com pany staff members. After that, he was transferred last month to his own department by the management. Now the Director (Electrical and Maintenance) has taken an additional charge. 

In SCCL company had reached targets of the coal transportation and productions every year and broke their records in every year.  The company is successfully running the power plant in Jaipur (Mancherial district) and earning  good profits.

But the company is not interested to fill the main director's posts yet, why the company is neglecting to fill the posts, ask the workes and union leaders in the company. AITUC (Singareni) leader Vanga Venkat demanded to fill the regular directors of the Department of Personal and Finance immediately.  He said the Grievance Cell has been closed for few weeks as there is no Personal officer in that department.

He also said the company did not bothered to fill the post of the Director Personal in last four years.  Director Personal saw the total administration and Welfare in the company around the  53000 workers who are in SCCL, he added. Now workes are facing problems and there is nobody to discuss the administration and welfare-related problems due to no regular director on that posts, he said. 

The incharge officers are very busy with their regular works; they are not unable to perform other works. He demanded the company to fill the directors  posts immediately.
