CPI asks TRS govt to fill up 3 lakh posts

Mahbubnagar: The Communist Party of India (CPI) leaders have demanded the state government to fill up 3 lakh vacant posts in the government or else they would embark on ‘Koluvula Poru Keka’ and launch a signature campaign in a big way in the coming days for the same.

While talking to Hans India on Tuesday, Parameshwar Goud, CPI district secretary Mahabubnagar, said that the present TRS government is fooling the youth and just passing time. “KCR talks tall but does very little.

His promise of providing one job to each family in 2014 has been just dumped in the bin. Even recently he announced in the Assembly that the government would fill up to 1 lakh posts, but during the past 4 years they could fill up only 27,000 posts.

In view of failed promises by the KCR government, we have decided to embark on a signature campaign and would conduct a state wide seminar on “Koluvula Pooru Keka’ on July 6 in Hyderabad,” said Parameshwar Goud.

Taking a jibe at the present government over the way it is ‘fooling’ the youth and keeping poll promises particularly with regard to providing jobs to the youth, Parameshwar Goud said that in Telangana there are 20 lakh youths who have completed graduation and other courses are jobless.

He demanded the government to immediately fulfil its poll promise of providing at least one government job to each family and at the same time provide monthly compensation to the unemployed youth.

The district secretary said that KCR himself had announced in the Assembly that after bifurcation Telangana state had got a total of 5.24 lakh government jobs as its share from erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and of that 3.15 lakh employees are already working. That means adding 40,000 vacancies created during the 4 years; the State government still has an opportunity to provide 2.50 lakh jobs to the youth.

“The main concept why people fought for Telangana is to get their share of jobs, water resources and financial aid. But today what we are seeing is KCR is adopting what the erstwhile Andhra rulers were doing and depriving the youth of government jobs,” observed the district secretary.
