Police conduct cordon and search operations

Khammam: The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACPKhammam Rural) Naresh Reddy here on Tuesday said the cordon and search operations are conducted to ensure safety of people.

Led by the ACP, as many a total of 100 police personnel conducted cordon and search operations at Tekulapallithanda under Kamepalli mandal in Khammam in the early hours.

Speaking on the occasion, ACP Naresh Reddy said the cordon and search operations were conducted on the orders of Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal. With the cooperation of people search operations were conducted in about 200 houses of Tekulapallithanda along with checking the details of Aadhaar and voter identity cards of the suspicious persons, the ACP said.

The ACP urged the people either to inform the police or dial to 100 if they noticed any suspicious person moving in and around their surroundings. The details of informers would be kept secret, assured the ACP.

He advised the people to be cautious while purchasing second-hand vehicles from unknown persons. They should not purchase the vehicles without verifying documents. If they buy such vehicles they would face problems, he said.

The police seized 19 two-wheelers, an auto-rickshaw as the owners could not produce valid documents. They also seized 91 liquor bottles which are stored illegally.

The Kamepalli Circle Inspector Sambaraju, Kusumanchi Circle Inspector Vasant Rao and Task Force Circle Inspector Karunakar were present along with sub-inspectors and about 100 police personnel participated in the cordon and search operation.
