MANUU offers admissions in employment based courses
Hyderabad : Maulana Azad National Urdu University( MANUU) is offering admission in employment based courses like Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism and Social Work beside host of other programmes at P.G and U.G levels in Languages, Social Sciences and Sciences.
Medium of instruction for all the courses except languages is Urdu .The last date for submission of online applications for merit based regular courses is July 9.
Interestingly, students who found placements in Multinational Companies like Facebook, Google and Tech Mahindra in recent years are from Madarsa background. Pass outs from the departments of Urdu, Arabic, Persian and Translation Studies are in demand in multinationals for their Middle East clients. Most of the Mass Communication Alumni is well placed in various Electronic and Print Media outlets. Journalism Department is introducing 3 year Under Graduate programme from new Academic year. Students passing out from Social Work Department are also well received in NGOs and Voluntary organizations.
Admissions are available for various Post Graduate and Under Graduate Programmes including PG Diploma and Bridge Course.
Post Graduate courses offered are Urdu, English, Hindi, Arabic, Translation Studies, Persian; Women Studies, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Work, Islamic Studies, History, Economics, Sociology; MA (JMC); M.Com; and M.Sc. (Mathematics).
For Madrassa passouts bridge course is being offered so that they can integrate into mainstream education. After completion of this course, the candidates shall be eligible to take admissions in Under Graduate (B.Com./B.Sc.) and Polytechnic programs on merit basis.

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates for admission into various programmes will be as per the Government of India rules. Limited hostel accommodation is available, according to a press release.
