MWD chief visits Nizam's Trust Urdu Library
Hyderabad : M. Dana Kishore, Secretary to Government Minorities Welfare Department advised to organize a seminar to find out the ways and means for protection, promotion and development of Urdu libraries in the state, which possess huge stock of books and manuscripts.
During his visit to the HEH The Nizam’s Trust Urdu Library at Malakpet here today, he advised the library authorities to prepare the catalogue of the rare books into English language so that those interested in such books may get benefit from those books. He promised to provide necessary funds for digitisation of rare books and necessary repairs of the library building.
On his arrival to the library Mr. Ziauddin Nayyer, Trustee, Shama Parveen I/c Secretary and Syed Haider Hussaini OSD received Dana Kishore and briefed him about the library and the stock of rare books, manuscripts and journals etc. The Secretary expressed keen interest in the books available here and advised that the catalogue should also be prepared in English language and the books should be digitilised. He was informed that plans are afoot for introducing e-library so that scholars and others can read the books online. The library authorities told that scholars from different parts of the country visit this library and make use of the rare collection available here.
