Sakshar Bharat workers want State to undertake Mission
Khammam: Sakshar Bharat Coordinators Association (SBCA) district unit president M Mallibabu Yadav here on Monday demanded that the State government continue the Sakshar Bharat Mission under the supervision of State government without taking any support from the Central government.
Speaking to the media at the Press Club here, Mallibabu Yadav alleged that the coordinators of Sakshar Bharath were facing lot of problems because of meagre of wages and lack of job security. He said the coordinators were striving to take the welfare schemes launched by the State government to one and all. He urged the government to implement equal pay for equal work and Adult Education Centres into mini libraries.
District President of the SBCA Association Ch Ramesh said a massive public meeting would be held with 5,000 members of Sakshar Bharat coordinators in united Khammam district on July 9 at SR Gardens. Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadepalli Kavitha were invited to take part in the public meeting, he added.
Association leaders P Hari Babu, M Shiva Krishna, S Venkateshwarlu, B Veeraiah, N Chennaiah, N Mohan Rao, S Anji Reddy, G Veeranna and B Janu were present at the media conference.
