TPCC falls for Charms of Artificial Intelligence

Hyderabad: As part of its endeavours to ensure coordination in the organisation, the Congress is using a novel Artificial Intelligence-based communication programme- Congress Human Resources Management System (CHARMS).

Developed by party leader, IT professional and chairman of USM Group Kalakuntla Madan Mohan, CHARMS would act as a bridge between the leadership and the party leaders and workers. The developers of this programme have been aiming to involve as many as 80,000 leaders and booth level leaders in the system. This programme is an addition to the App of the party- Shakthi.

The communication system was launched recently by TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy. The TPCC president addressed all the mandal presidents though the app from the Gandhi Bhavan recently.  Speaking to The Hans India, Madan Mohan said that the programme has been exclusively developed for the Congress party. He said that it contains features like conference, processing, live poll monitoring and others.

He said that the programme also provides the feedback with the help of artificial intelligence. The PCC, DCC and mandal committee leaders could use the details of the results of the analysis with just one click.
He informed that the programme gives ranks to the party leaders for selecting their names for the candidatures and for other purposes. It maintains a record of the activities being taken up by the leaders in their respective jurisdictions.

Madan Mohan said that with the help of the programme the leadership could communicate any information to the second rung leader and workers. This would ensure better coordination. About 8,000 leaders of the party have been included in the programme. Soon the booth level leaders would also be included in it. Unlike the social media platforms, the CHARMS programme would ensure communication with maximum number of members effectively.

The Congress is using the social media and IT tools extensively for better coordination in the party. PCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy has been interacting with the leaders through Facebook regularly.

The high command of the party has developed a mobile App called Shakthi and the party workers have been told to enroll themselves in it. This App would help the party for a two- way communication. Leaders of the party have been told to enroll about 1,000 workers from each mandal.

Party leaders said that as the new generation is crazy about new technologies and the App and CHARMS would attract their attention. They would be encouraged to have interaction with the leaders and the new initiatives would add a new image to the party.
