Pamela asks teachers to improve students’ skills

Kothagudem: Integrated Tribal Welfare Development Agency Bhadrachalam  Project Officer Pamela Sathpathy visited the Aankam Palem Girls Residential School under Dhammapet mandal on Wednesday. 

During her visit, she inspected  the store room, classroom and the drinking water facilities. She also examined the regular food items in the storeroom and went through the menu chart. She enquired the warden and headmaster regarding the quality of food items. She introduced herself to the students in classrooms and asked some questions to judge their knowledge.

Later, the project officer told the teachers that the students were poor in English subject and asked them to improve the language skills by conducting special classes. She said the students are not able to understand the subjects due to the ir weak fundamentals. She asked the concerned subject teachers to identify and focus on the subjects in which students are poor. 

She said the wardens should treat the the students who are studying in the residential schools like their children and take care of them.  She said every student should maintain cleanliness and maintain hygein in the places for the prevention of diseases.  She told the students to concentrate on theirstudies and get good marks in the examinations.  

The games and sports also be the part of the education.  So students  should be encouraged to take part in sports and games in their leasure time, she added. She also asked the staff take part in Haritha Haram program plant  saplings on the school campus  to protect the environment. After that, she joined the students and ate food.
