Telangana woman pilgrim succumbs to bad weather at Kailash Mansarovar

Hyderabad: A woman pilgrim from Telangana, who was among the stranded pilgrims at Kailash Mansarovar, died to due to inclement weather in Nepal on Thursday. The victim, Srilakshmi, was the resident of Sangareddy.  Telangana special representative in New Delhi M Jagannadham confirmed the death of the pilgrim. He said Srilakshmi got separated from her family members.

After tracing the family members, the Nepal government will conduct post-mortem. Telangana Bhavan Resident Commissioner Ashok Kumar was in touch with the Nepal authorities to shift the body to Delhi.  

According to officials, as many as 60 pilgrims from Telangana are stranded at Kailash Mansarovar with some of the them even separated from their family members. Efforts are on to unite the members and shift them to safer places. Soon after they arrive at the national capital, arrangements will be made to fly them to Hyderabad.
