SBI holds blood donation camp
Nalgonda: Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath here on Tuesday stated that blood is a scarce health resource as it cannot be manufactured. It can be obtained only through donation.
On the occasion of State Bank of India 65th Foundation Day, Ranganath launched blood donation camp organised by the SBI Administrative office in Nalgonda in association with district Red Cross Society at the police auditorium here.
He said blood was a vital component in the body and a healthy person can easily donate blood thrice in a year and it would save the fellow human beings. He appreciated SBI officials and staff for taking up the programs for the betterment of society.
SBI DGM Jyothi Prakash Raman blood transfusion was a essential component of patient care. As many as 250 members donated blood at the camp, he said. LDM Suryam, retired principal M V Gona Reddy, Red Cross Society district president Goli Amarender Reddy and staff of SBI participated in the programme.
