BJP cadres stage protest

Hanamkonda: Protesting against the arrest of BJP State President K Laxman and Floor Leader G Kishan Reddy in Hyderabad, the party cadres took out a rally accusing the State government of bulldozing the spirit of democracy. 

It may be noted here that police took both the top leaders into custody on Tuesday, when they were heading to meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for revoking the externment order against Sri Peetam Peetadhipathi Swami Paripoornananda.

BJP State general secretary Gujjula Premender Reddy, State official spokesperson A Rakesh Reddy and State secretariat member Rao Amarender Reddy, who took part in the demonstration at Hanamkonda Chowrastha, said that KCR was behaving like a dictator. His intimidating tactics are terrorizing the people, they alleged.

The leaders said that people will teach a fitting lesson to the TRS government for its misdeeds and anti-people policies. The leaders burned the effigy of the TRS government to mark their protest. The police arrested 40-odd BJP leaders and took them to Hanamkonda police station. Later the police let off the leaders on personal bond.

Senior leaders G Yadagiri, Gurumurthy, Shiv Kumar, Kolanu Santhosh Reddy, Sangani Jagadeeshwar, Mandati Vinod, Ch Snehalatha Reddy and B Harishankar were among others present.
