Monsoon turns normal in Telangana

Hyderabad: The southwest monsoon turned normal in Telangana with rains in Mahabubabad, Kothagudem, Nirmal, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, Khammam and  Peddapalle districts on Wednesday. There was reduced rainfall.

The Met department bulletin said rain occurred at many places across Telangana with Dornakal in Mahabubabad district recording 4 cm of rainfall.

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places in Telangana from July 19 to 22. No large change during the period, July 23 to 25, is the weather outlook. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the State were: Aswaraopet and Shriramsagar 3 cm each, Venkatapur, Sathupalle, Gudur, Ramagundam, Govindaraopet, Julurpad, Balkonda, Ibrahimpatnam and Venkatapuram  2 cm each.

There was 1 cm each in Thollada, Enkuru, Dubbak, Dummugudem, Manuguru, Mudhole, Khanapur, Ramannapet, Mulug, Jagtial, Chandrugonda, Metpalle, Mulakalapalle, Mortad, Suryapet, Dharmasagar, Luxettipet, Manthani, Hasanparthy, Mallial and Bejjanki.
