Telangana Govt to roll out new app to keep tabs on civic works

Hyderabad: Principal Secretary to Municipal Administration and Urban Development department Arvind Kumar on Saturday said that the government created a separate app for the working pattern of the engineering wing to have a clear transparency of the works which are being taken up by the engineering wings in the municipal corporations.

Holding a review meeting with regard to road repairing and restoration works at Charminar zone office in the city, for clear transparency of the engineering works, a separate app is being created duly taking up the photographs of the works for uploading the same with the help of the app which is going to be introduced from next week.

The app will update the senior officials the process of the works which are being taken up and officers will also be able the process of the restoration works. Arvind Kumar directed the engineers who have been appointed through NAAC, visit their allotted wards and coordinate to monitor the road restoration works especially whenever the rains are being occurred. 

The citizens must also be informed about the road restoration works so that they will also know the works which are being taken up for overall development of the city and the officials must also passing on the information through Twitters for better clarity. 

GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said that the road restoration works during rainy season are being taken up duly deploying 384 monsoon special teams. 

Recently the Supreme Court has passed certain orders that the deaths are being occurred only due to pot holes on the roads. 

As per the court directions the identified pot holes will be restored on the same day for the convenience of the citizens, the official said. 

After the meeting, the Principal Secretary along with GHMC officials made a surprise inspection of the road restoration works at Rajendranagar circle and gave clear directions to take up road restoration works on priority.
