Large number of devotees throng temples
Nalgonda: A large number of devotees thronged the Shiva and Vaishnavaite temples in the erstwhile Nalgonda district on the occasion of Tholi Ekadasi on Monday.
Scores of devotees took a holy dip in the river Krishna and performed abhishekam and offered special prayers at temples on river bank. Devotees thronged Shiva Parivaram temple at Satrashala and Meenakshi Agastheshwara Shivalayam at Wadapally in Nalgonda district and Yoga Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Mattapally, historic Shivalyam at Mellacheruvu in Suryapet district.
Long queues were witnessed at Venkateshwara temple in Suryapet town, Sita Ramachandra swamy temple in Ramagir and Shiva temples located at Pangal in Nalgonda and Jadala Ramalingeshwara temple at Cheruvugattu in Nalgonda district
Hundreds of devotees from far-flung places came to Yadadri to have a darshan of Lord Laxminarasimha Swamy on the auspicious Tholi Ekadasi festival day. Lakhsha Pushparchana was conducted to presiding deity Laxminarasimha Swamy on the occasion. Backward Classes Commission Chairman Ramulu along with his family members visited Yadadri and offered special prayers at Balalayam.
