Rama Koti books immersed in Godavari
Bhadrachalam: Written by ardent devotees of Lord Sitarama, Rama Koti books were on Monday evening immersed in the Godavari in Bhadrachalam, amid traditional chanting of Vedic hymns.
The books contain special sheets with the name of Lord Sri Rama written on them by devotees. The programme was conducted by the Sri Sita Rama Chandra Swamy Devastanam in temple town Bhadrachalam.
Before the immersion, a separate decorated vehicle was arranged by the temple officers and took the books on the vehicle and took out a procession chanting shlokas. After that the immersion programme was conducted on Godavari river bridge. A special puja to the Ramakoti books was conducted on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the priests said, ” on every Tholi Ekadasi Day this programme is conducting here. The Ramakoti books which were written in devotion of Lord Rama and submitted to the Lord Rama temple are immersed in the river Godavari on this day.”
“We stored the books in one room during the one year time, after that those books were immersed today” the priests said. On account the Tholi Ekdasi Day a special puja was conducted in the temple by priests.
The priests conducted special abhishekam to the presiding deities at Beda Mandapam on the temple premises. Mutthangi Seva was also conducted on the occasion. A large number of devotees attended the puja. Temple Assistant Executive Officer Sravan Kumar, chief priests P.Sita Ramama , Sthala Sai, and other priests participated in the program.
