TRS leaders acting like Shikhandi: Congress

Update: 2018-07-24 05:30 IST

Karimnagar: Congress leader and former Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar condemned the comments made by TRS MP Boinapalli Vinod Kumar against Congress and said that the MP is speaking like an insane person.

Speaking to the media at R&B guest house here on Monday, Prabhakar came heavily on TRS MP B Vinod Kumar. The person, who cannot speak properly in the parliament, is making comments against Congress in front of the media for gaining mileage.

He criticised that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had not taken up the separate Telangana movement for the sake of people, but for his selfish motive and to keep his identity in the political arena. If N Chandrababu Naidu, the then Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh had given minister post to KCR, then he would have never taken up the separate State movement, he added.

He reminded that the TRS leaders kept their mouth shut when seven mandals of Khammam district were merged with Andhra Pradesh State and said that they are now demanding for the seven mandals after passing out ordinance only to deceive the people of Telangana.

The TRS did nothing to the people of Karimnagar district in its four years of ruling. All the development, which the government has been boasting, is remained on papers only and there are no signs of implementation of schemes and developmental activities properly in the district and across the State,

Prabhakar pointed out. The TRS is behaving like an agent of BJP and acting like Shikandi. The people are watching every move of the TRS and its leaders cannot step into the villages if they continue deceiving people and make unnecessary and baseless comments against the Congress, he warned.
