Regularise contract electricity workers, demands CPI
Kothagudem: The Communist Party of India on Wednesday demanded officials to address the issues of the Electricity Department contract workers here and regularlise them.
The party leaders along with power workers staged protest before their office. Addressing the protesters, CPI leader B. Ramesh said as many as 30,000 contract workers are working in the Electricity department across the State. Before the elections, he added, the TRS government had promised regularization of contract workers job.
He demanded to the TRS government to fulfill the poll promises immediately. He said, the Chief Minister giving speeches only to attract the people. He said, during the four years the TRS government fill not a single post in the State. CPI leaders Balaraju, Y.Narasiaha, Y Krishnaiah and others participated in the protest.
