Crucial Telangana Cabinet meet on July 27

Hyderabad:  In the wake of talk of early elections, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has convened crucial Cabinet meeting on Friday. Apart from taking decisions on a long list of pending issues which include the establishment of 190 BC welfare residential schools, appointment of 9,200 Panchayat Secretaries and ratification for seeking funds for irrigation projects from financial institutions, the Chief Minister will also pay special attention to political issues to be discussed in the meeting.   

Official sources said that many issues are included in the agenda finalised by KCR in the proposed Cabinet meet. It includes- borrowing Rs 1000 crore from National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), revising the estimates for Indiramma flood flow canal and creation of new posts in Health, Law, Education and Revenue departments. 

KCR will seek the feedback from the ministers the impact of the schemes launched by his government particularly Rythu Bandhu and the proposed farmers’ insurance scheme to be launched on August 15 in the state. 

The progress in the works of Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, 2BHK houses and rural and urban development schemes will be discussed in detail in the meeting organised two months after the last meeting. 
Source said that KCR is also likely to make a presentation on the winning prospects of TRS if the elections are held prior to the scheduled in May 2019. The latest survey report on the performance of each TRS MLA will also be presented in the meeting.

Since, the possibility of going for early elections along with the election bound Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattigarh and Mizoram in December this year is very high, KCR wants to discuss national and state politics, which will last for at least four hours.        

The recent political developments in Telangana particularly the Telangana Congress efforts to float a Grand Alliance by uniting all opposition parties including TDP and changing political equations in the districts particularly in South Telangana districts where Congress is strong.  

“In the Cabinet meeting, KCR will explain his plans to win 100, out of 119 Assembly seats and all 17 Lok Sabha MP seats in next elections,” a senior leader said the crucial meeting will give a direction to the ministers to get ready for elections anytime.
