Shaheed Udham Singh death anniversary observed

Khammam: Bahujan Student Federation (BSF) activists here on Tuesday observed the 78th death anniversary of  Shaheed Udham Singh at Phule Pranganam here.

Speaking on the occasion, BSF district unit president Miryala Nagaraju said, “Udham Singh was one of the brave revolutionary leaders. But today many Indians do not remember him. History books give very little about him. Hence, to make people aware about his sacrifices, we are observing his death anniversary.”

Jallianwala Bagh Throwing light on the life of the martyr, he said Udham Singh assassinated Michael O' Dwyer in revenge for Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He exhorted the youth to study the freedom movement and sacrifices made by the freedom fighters. BSF activists Lakshman, Arun, Jayant Naik, Satish, Praveen and Shravan were present at the programme.
