While the TRS leaders were boasting that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had kept his promise by allotting 5,000 double-bedroom houses to Khammam city, the fact was that the CPM exerted pressure on the TRS government for sanctioning double-bedroom houses to all eligible people who were living in the city, she pointed out.

She asked the government to allot double bedroom houses to the people who had been vacated from NSP canal area of Mamatha Road instead of selecting the beneficiaries through lottery system and to those who were given notices to vacate their houses on Gollapadu Channel.

Till date, the TRS government had allotted only 600 double-bedroom houses in the first and the second phases but still there were 2,500 beneficiaries to whom the houses must be allotted.

She demanded that the government allot double-bedroom houses to all those beneficiaries immediately. CPM leaders Macharla Bharati, Y Vikram and Srinivas Rao were present in the press meet.
