TRS government not caring for panchayat staff: Kantha Rao
Burgumpad: The TRS government is not interested in the welfare of panchayat workers who are on strike for more than ten days, said the former MLA and Congress leader Rega Kantha Rao here on Friday.
He visited the Buramapad village and joined the panchayat staff protest near the grama panchyat office. He demanded to the government to give better salaries to the workers immediately as their wage is very low compared to their hard work.
The Congress party always supports workers and fights for their rights, he said adding that the TRS government is dragging the issues day-by-day.
The government did nothing to wipe the tears of the people in the state in the last four years, he added. The Congress leader said that if his party comes to power in the next elections it will launch more welfare schemes for the workers.
The people are suffering because of the strike of the panchayat in last ten days in all panchyats. Congress party leaders B. Rama Rao, Naga Raju, and others participated in the protest.
