Yadadri gets new municipal building

 Yadagirigutta: Yadadri-Bhongir District Joint Collector Ravi Naik said that responsibilities of both the officials and public representatives increased after historic Yadagirigutta emerged as a municipality. 

On Thursday, he inaugurated Yadagirigutta Municipality building. Speaking on the occasion, he said Yadagirigutta was going to be the biggest municipality in the State and going to get international identity though revival works of the temple town of Yadadri.

Special Officer Bhoopal Reddy said Yadagirigutta would get more funds as it had been transformed from gram panchayat to municipality. MPP G Swapna, ZPTC K Kamalamma and former Sarpanch B Swamy urged the officials to provide all benefits to the gram panchayat workers, who hereafter considered to be municipal workers.

Meanwhile, Government whip Gongidi Sunitha inaugurated the Aler municipality building and lauded the State government for its people-friendly initiatives. Of the new 84 gram panchayats in the district, 34 are thandas transformed into gram panchayats.
