Met predicts moderate rain in Telangana
Hyderabad: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at some places in the State from August 4 to 7. No large change during the period August 8-10 is the weather outlook. The cyclonic circulation over north-west Bay of Bengal adjoining areas of Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha lies between 5.8 km and 7.6 km above the mean sea level.
A low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Bay and adjoining West Bengal coast around August 6, the Met department bulletin said on Friday. This is likely to bring moderate rain in the State.The bulletin said the southwest monsoon turned weak in Telangana. As a result, rain occurred at few places in Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, Khammam and Mahbubabad districts. The day temperature in Khammam fell by one degree Celsius to 34.
