Directive to make Kanti Velugu successful
Nirmal: Principal Secretary Health Shanta Kumari on Thursday called on officials and elected people’s representatives to implement Kanti Velugu programme successfully, commencing from August 15 by taking active part in it.
Reviewing the arrangements for implementation of the programme through video conference from Hyderabad with district collectors, medical and health personnel, tahsildars, she said that all amenities should be provided at medical camps.
The people should be screened for eye diseases, medicines and spectacles should be given free of cost. Those requiring surgery should be sent to the referral hospitals. Nirmal district Collector M Prashanti said that arrangements have been made to treat over seven lakh patients.
Medical and Health Commissioner Vakati Karuna, DMHO Dr A Jalpath Naik, Municipal Commissioner Ravi Babu, Programme Officer Srinivas, MPDOs, tahsildars and others took part.
