Hariyali Teej celebrated at NTPC-Ramagundam

Ramagundam: Deepthi Mahila Samithi, ladies club of NTPC Ramagundam, celebrated Hariyali Teej with much fanfare at its premises on Wednesday evening. Sandhya Jain, the in-charge president of Deepthi Mahila Samithi, inaugurated the programme and spoke on the significance of the event.

The colourful programme featured bhajans, group & solo dance, Shiv-Parvati skit, kajri songs, fashion walk along with fun games. The major attraction of the programme was the Teej Queen competition wherein Swati Raj (age group 20-40 years), Suhasini (age group 40-50 years) and Padmalata (age group 50-60 years) won the competition.

Few women also got awards in different categories like - Kohinoor of Ramagundam - Dr Sashmita Dash; all-rounder of Ramagundam - Viji Ramchandran; evergreen of Ramagundam - SB Laxmi; charming lady - Laxmi Radhamohan; gorgeous lady - Padmashree Vimla; dynamic lady - Ezhilars Ravindran.

Later, Sandhya Jain along with senior officials of the ladies club presented the Teej Queen crown and other awards to the winners. During this occasion, Manisha Nograiya, secretary of the ladies club; Ratna Kumari Babji, in-charge of Bal Bhavan and other office bearers and members of  Deepthi Mahila Samithi were present.
