Heavy rain likely in 10 Telangana districts

Hyderabad: The Met department bulletin on Monday said that a low pressure area formed over the north-west Bay of Bengal off the West Bengal coast under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over the north-coastal Odisha and its neighbourhood. It said the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above the mean sea level. It is likely to become more marked during next 24 hours.

Under its influence, heavy rain are very likely to occur on August 14 at some places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Peddapally, Jayashankar-Bhupalapally, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Khammam, Warangal, Suryapet, and Nalgonda districts.

According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few/many places in the State from August 14 to 17. No large change during the period between August 18-20 is the weather outlook. Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon was normal in Telangana during the last 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Monday. Rain occurred at many places in the State. 

There was 3 cm rain each in Dummugudem (Kothagudem), Sirpur (Komaram Bheem), Sathupalle (Khammam), Aswapuram (Kothagudem), Madhira (Khammam), Manuguru, Pinapaka (Kothagudem), Perur, Venkatapuram (Bhupalpally), Aswaraopet, Bhadrachalam, Burgampadu (Kothagudem).

Two cm rain each occurred in Hollada (Khammam), Bonakal (Khammam), Chandrugonda, Mulakalapalle (Kothagudem), Chinthakam (Khammam), Makloor (Nizamabad), Enkuru (Khammam), Palawancha (Kothagudem), Bhupalpally, Kothagudem, Chennur (Mancherial), Julurpad (Kothagudem), Kaleswaram (Bhupalpally).

There was 1 cm rain each in Konijerla, Kusumanchi, Tekulapalle, Govindaraopet, Mogullapalle, Bayyaram, Sarangapur, Yellandu, Garla and Nirmal.
