NIT aims for industry-ready grads

Warangal: The NIT Warangal’s Precision Metrology Lab to be equipped with the state-of-the-art measurement equipment including software, as a total solution applied in manufacturing industries, which will enable and help students to get hands-on experience and prepare for research work while on campus making them industry-ready.

The NIT Warangal and the Hexagon Capability Centre India (HCCI) Hyderabad under its CSR policy have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday in this regard. This will be relevant to MTech Manufacturing Engineering and Computer Integrated Manufacturing students. HCCI is committed to improve the quality of education which benefits the students in particular and the society in general contributing to the educational infrastructure, training facilities through partnership.

NIT Warangal Director Prof MV Ramana Rao and Hexagon Capability Centre India Private Limited CFO (Finance) Ballav Mundra signed the MOU in the presence of Rajendra Telugu, Bhaskar Koppaka from HCCI and Prof A Venu Gopal, Dr P Vamsi Krishna and Prof P Bangaru Babu, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering.

It may be mentioned here that Hexagon is in the business of Software Development and other allied business for its clients worldwide. The NIT Warangal is India's premium Teaching cum Research Institute offering various technological degrees.
