VHP, BJYM leaders arrested for laying siege to Collectorate

Mahbubnagar: Vishwahindu Parishad leaders in Mahbubnagar district took out a rally from Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam Kalayana Mandapam in support of their demand that the ban imposed on Swamy Paripoornananda from entering Hyderabad be lifted.

The VHP activists attempted to barge into the District Collectorate in protest against the police order that the spiritual leaders should not enter the Hyderabad city. 

The VHP, Bhajarangdal and BJYM leaders, besides members of these organisations took out a rally and tried to lay siege to the District Collectorate. The police thwarted their attempt on the way and arrested the agitators. However, some agitators of VHP escaped from the police and tried to jump over the gate and compound wall of the District Collectorate. 

Suresh district president of Bhajarang Dal, Naveen Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy from BJYM, Yaadi Reddy of VHP and other members of these organisations took part in the agitation.
