Leaders urge Rahul Gandhi to take steps to improve TPCC

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) senior leaders requested that All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi take measures to improve coordination in the State unit in order to expose the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government for its corruption.

Around 40 senior leaders met Rahul Gandhi at Haritha Plaza on Tuesday morning and explained him about the situation. The visitors include MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, T Jeavan Reddy, J Geetha Reddy, A Revanth Reddy, Sampath, former MPs Ponnam Prabhakar, V Hanumantha Rao and others.

Rahul Gandhi met them at a hall in the Plaza and spoke to them. Party MLA T Jeavan Reddy said that the TRS had been banking heavily on the Kaleswaram Project. However, lot of corruption had been taking place in it and it should be exposed.

In his meeting with Rahul, MLA Venkat Reddy said that the party should announce the Chief Ministerial candidate before the elections so that better coordination can be achieved. He informed Rahul about the situation in the State and said that a big campaign was needed. He was asked by Rahul to meet him separately.
