Stage set for Independence Day Celebrations

 Kothagudem: All preparations are in place for the celebrations of Independence Day Celebrations in Kothagudem district. Minster of Excise and Prohibition T Padma Rao Goud would participate in the event as chief guest on Wednesday, informed District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu on Tuesday.

The Independence Day programme would organized at Pragathi Grounds at 8.30 am.  After the National Flag hoisting ceremony, the minister would address the gathering, the Collector said.  The Minister would inspect the departmental stalls at the ground and distribute the merit certificates to the best department employees and officers and organizations.

The Collector appealed to all public representatives and officers to be present and make the event a grand success. The cultural programmes would also be presented by school children on the occasion, the Collector said.
