Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders on Thursday defended the comments made by Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao against the Congress leaders, and stated that the other name for corruption was ‘Scamgress’. Addressing a press conference along with Chief Whip K Eshwar and MLA D Chennaiah, Peddapally MP Balka Suman said that there was nothing wrong in what KTR had said about the Congress leaders. People of Telangana would use harsh language against the Congress leaders, said Suman. The Minister in a public meeting in Karimnagar referred the Congress leaders as ‘rascals’ (luchhas), to which the Congress had objected.

Suman further added that the Congress leaders should be ashamed of themselves for making their national president speak lies. He alleged that the Congress leaders made Rahul Gandhi say that Ambedkar’s name was changed, but the Ambedkar Pranahita project was still going on in Adilabad and Kaleshwaram project was a different one. “As per the Congress leaders, the Kaleshwaram project cost is Rs 1 lakh crore, but in fact, the project cost is Rs 80,000 crore. These leaders who were spreading lies in the State for the last four years made their own party president lie,” said the TRS MP.

The TRS leader said that Rahul Gandhi had not possessed a qualification of even an intermediate student. “What is Rahul’s qualification except for having the name of Gandhi. He is not even qualified than an intermediate student,” said Suman, adding that the Congress president could not even ensure victory of his party in his own constituency, Amethi.

Stating that Rahul Gandhi was against Kaleshwaram project, the MP added that the Congress was focussing on Andhra Pradesh as they know that they would not get votes in Telangana.  Chief Whip K Eshwar said that the TRS government was washing the sins of Congress party which had failed to solve a single issue in the last 40 years. He said that the responsibility of saving Telangana was on TRS.
