TRS MPs donate one month's salary to Kerala CM Relief Fund

Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi members of Parliament of both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha have decided to contribute their one month’s salary for the Kerala flood relief.

All the 20 members of Parliament led by K Keshava Rao have pledged their one month salary to the Kerala Chief Minister’s relief Fund. Speaking to the media, Keshava Rao said that it was the disaster of entire country and all should give a helping hand to the people in distress. “The 14 districts of Kerala state are submerged because of floods and more than 300 people have died. We are 20 members in Parliament and we all have decided to donate one month salary,” said Rao.

Leader of the party in Lok Sabha A P Jitender Reddy said that people should support in whatever manner they can. “Nature has once again shown its existence in God’s own country,” said Reddy. Prime Minister has given Rs 500 Crore as immediate relief to Kerala. People can provide relief by whatever they can donate, he added. The MPs include K Keshav Rao, Jitender Reddy, C Lakshmikantha Rao, D Srinivas, J Santosh Kumar, Banda Prakash Mudiraj, B Lingaiah Yadav, B Narsaiah Goud, G Nagesh, K Kavitha, B B Patil, K Prabhakar Reddy, Ch Malla Reddy, P Srnivas Reddy, A Sitaram Naik, P Dayakar, K Vishweshwar Reddy, B Suman and Sukender Reddy.  

On the call given by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao, TRS leaders have also come up with donations. Deputy Chief Minister said that he was inspired by the help gesture of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to provide an assistance of Rs 25 Crore and was donating his one month salary. MLA A Jeevan Reddy too has come forward to donate his one month’s salary.
