Man murders wife

Thipparthi(Nalgonda): A 24-year-old woman was murdered by her husband at Mallepally Vari Gudem of Thipparthi mandal in the district on Monday. Husband slit his wife’s throat and fled the spot.

The deceased was identified as Hasina (24) of MallaVari Gudem. According to SI Veera Raghavulu, both Hasina and Janjirala Srinivas are residents of Mallepally Vari Gudem and had love affair for the last four years.  

Hasina staged a protest before the house of Srinivas when he rejected proposal to marry her six months ago. With intervention of the village elders, Srinivas married Hasina and enjoyed the married life for five months and she got pregnant. Srinivas mounted pressure on Hasina to undergo abortion .Vexed with husband’s behavior, Hasina reached her mother’s house located in the same village. 

On Monday, Srinivas slit the throat of Hasina with knife when she was alone at home and ran away. Neighbours who saw Srinivas in suspicious state rushed to Hasina’s house and found her lying dead in a pool of blood. 

On receiving information from the villagers, the police rushed to the spot and collected evidence from the scene of offence and shifted the dead body to the Government hospital in Nalgonda for autopsy. Police registered a case and searching for the accused.
