Development works approved
Vemulawada (Sircilla): The Vemulawada Area Development Authority (VADA) on Monday gave green signal for installing ropeway to Nampallygutta near Vemulawada. A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting in Hyderabad presided over by Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy.
The ropeway project will be taken up on the model of Build–operate–transfer (BOT). The VADA allotted 5 acres downhill for the installation of ropeway. Work on development of the temple, Koneru, gnana mandapam and cottages will also be initiated soon. It was also decided that Rs 18 crore check dam coming up at Sankepally will be connected to Nampallygutta.
A purification plant with an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh will be established to purify the Mid Manair water before pumping into the Dharmagundam of Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple. The VADA also decided to construct a building for the Veda Patashala and to complete the land acquisition for the bus station in this month.
It may be noted here that eight acres have been allotted to bus station, five acres for parking and seven acres for the construction of guest houses for the devotees.
Vemulawada MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh, VADA vice-chairman Purushotham Reddy, secretary Bhujanga Rao, executive officer Dusa Rajeshwar and Stapathi Valli Nayagam were among others present.
