KCR announces 500-tonne rice supply to Kerala

Hyderabad: In a grand gesture, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday instructed the officials concerned to send 500 tonnes rice to meet the food needs of people in the rain-ravaged Kerala.
In a quick response to the Kerala government, the Chief Minister instructed Civil Supplies Corporation Commissioner Akun Sabarwal to send 500 tonnes rice, worth Rs 1 crore, to Kerala immediately.
K Chandrashekar Rao also spoke to Civil Supplies Minister Eatala Rajendar and Chief Secretary S K Joshi about the arrangements being made for the transportation of rice.
